For debate you must have 1 judge for every 4 LD contestants or part thereof, 1 judge for every 2 CX teams or part thereof, 1 judge for every 4 PFD teams or part thereof, and 1 judge for every 6 congress participants or part thereof. For Prose/Poetry, Speech, and Writing Events, you must provide 1 judge for each 6 participants or part thereof. Debate judge fees will be $150 due to prelim and final round needs on Friday and Saturday. Judging fees are $100/judge for speaking events if you do not provide a judge, however we prefer judges over fees. AT MINIMUM, speech/debate team coaches MUST serve as judges. For writing events if you have no judge your student may compete, but they will not be graded. Please contact us ahead of time if this is a problem.
CX Entries $30/team

AWARDS: Medals will be awarded for the top 6 places in each event. There will be sweepstakes awards given to the top performing schools based on the UIL point system for both big and small school events, but only UIL events count towards sweepstakes. In Science awards will also be given for the top score in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. We will also present awards in big and small school categories for all events except speech/debate, social studies, and current events. Please note this might be subject to change if we do not have enough schools competing in a particular event.
