Plano West Senior High School

We would like to extend a sincere welcome to Plano West’s Wolf Classic TFA Qualifying Tournament. We have worked very hard to make this a pleasant, fair, and beneficial competition by ensuring quality judging, great awards, and a workable, creative and hopefully successful schedule.
This year, we are pleased to announce that we offer a semi-finals UKY-TOC bid in Public Forum Debate, a top 3 Northwestern ETOC bid (the original extemporaneous speaking championship tournament) in Extemporaneous Speaking, and a top 6 UKY-TOC bid in Congressional Debate. Additionally, we are a qualifying tournament for all individual (speaking) and oral interpretation events at the UKY- TOC, allowing programs who compete in diverse events to compete for the title of TOC champion as well as for the NIETOC, which is specializes in oral interpretation and oratory.
Please remember that only school officials may enter. We cannot accept any unaffiliated entries. In addition, an adult sponsor must be at the tournament as long as someone from that school is still competing. Entries must be made on www.joyoftournaments.com. We are unable to accept email, telephone or traditional mail entries. Specific deadlines can be found on the "Information" page.
Lincoln-Douglas and Public Forum debate will use the September/October NSDA topic. CX/Policy debate will follow the 2019-2020 policy topic.
Congressional Debate will utilize the TFA docket found at txfa.org under the "Resources" tab. Event rules can be found at txfa.org in the constitution.
Those interested in judging should fill out the HIRED JUDGE form to be considered for a contract.
The Plano West Forensics team is focused on making this event a superior experience for you and your team. We want you to feel “at home” and leave the tournament on Saturday evening feeling glad you came. If there is anything you need, please do not hesitate to ask. Good luck to you and your squad!
