Bulldog UIL Invitational

Dear Colleagues :
It is my sincere pleasure to invite you to the 17th annual Bulldog UIL Invitational to be held January 18, 2020!
Our main goal is to provide both a competitive and educational experience for all our students. To accomplish this goal, our tournament will have four preliminary rounds in both Lincoln-Douglas and CX debate with the 4th being a "blind finals" so that all competitors can run 2 affirmative and 2 negative rounds. The final results will be determined by win/loss records, speaker points, and strength of opponents if needed. There is both varsity and a novice decision for both the CX and the LD competitions so as to better serve the needs of both the experienced and the beginning competitors.
In both extemporaneous speaking and oral interpretation, all speakers will compete in two preliminary rounds providing them with two guaranteed critiques. Speakers with the lowest cumulative ranks in the first two rounds will compete in the finals.
In an attempt to keep the tournament on schedule, we will not allow CX debaters to enter any other event. Extemporaneous speakers, oral interpretation speakers and LD debaters may enter only two of the three individual speaking events.
All events will take place at Burnet High School. There will be a concession stand on site, and there are a number of restaurants close to the campus.
If you have any questions not answered on this site, please feel free to call me at 512-756-6193 ext. 2511.
I look forward to seeing you on January 18th !
