2019 Golden Eagle Cup @ Aberdeen Central
Dates: 11/8/2019 - 11/9/2019

Dear Colleague,
The Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles Speech and Debate team with the Golden Eagles Interp team would like to cordially invite you to attend the 20th Annual Golden Eagle Cup to be held at Central High School on November 8 and 9, 2019.
Our tournament format is designed to offer a premium number of competitive rounds in an exciting, yet casual atmosphere. As always, The Cup is a sanctioned event in all states that border South Dakota so come on out and see us!
Our tournament will once again feature an online method of registration as well as pre-tournament entry changes. Please visit the URL listed below to register for the 20th annual Golden Eagle Cup! We believe that it greatly simplifies the entire add/drop process that typically occurs the week of any tournaments. If you have questions about registering using Joyoftournaments, please do not hesitate to call and ask.

On Friday, there are 4 rounds of IE's starting at 3:00 pm  (No finals). Students can be tripled entered if
they are not in extemp. The awards ceremony for IE's will take place Friday night. We hope to have you on the road at a reasonable time Friday night so many of you will not a hotel room.
On Saturday will feature an entire day of debate. Debate rounds start promptly at 9:30 AM. I encourage all coaches to go over tournament room etiquette on the ride up to Aberdeen so we can forgo a general meeting. We will be featuring novice, jv, and varsity divisions in: LD, and Public Forum. There will be a varsity policy debate division.
Public Forum debate will start at 9:30 at the high school and offers 5 rounds. A judge meeting for all new public forum judges is scheduled for 9:00 AM in B154- Student Services. Please note, due to a large number of volunteers in our community who want judge public forum, your public forum judges may not be utilized so if they can judge LD that would be wonderful.
We would also like to point out that our tournament has a judge and coach lounge that may or may not have coffee. It may or may not have food. It may even have soup and sandwhiches. It may have some sweet things to increase your blood sugar.
Please note: the entry deadline is Thursday night at 8 pm. Please read the online entry information carefully. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at
Kerry.Konda@k12.sd.us  or cell, 605-290-6691.  We look forward to hosting you at The Cup!
