Hattiesburg High School and NR Burger Forensics is pleased to host the Hub City Junior Invitational. Consider this your special invitation to attend our middle school event on Saturday, April 18, on the NR Burger Middle School campus in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
The N.R. Burger Forensics Hub City Junior Invitational will offer these events: Declamation, Poetry Interpretation, Informative Speaking, Prose Interpretation, Duet Acting, Dramatic Performance, Storytelling, and Public Forum Debate.
The topic for Storytelling is HEROES.
The resolution to be debated in Public Forum Debate will be RESOLVED: Direct popular vote should replace electoral votes in presidentail elections.
(Teams will have assigned sides for the first two rounds of competition with PRO speaking first. The third round and final round will be flip for sides.)
Each attending school must have at least one judge in the judge pool for each round of competition.
IN THE EVENT OF INCLEMENT WEATHER, all registered schools are responsible for checking the website on Friday, April 17, 5:00pm to check the status of the tournament. A cancellation notice will be posted on the site Friday afternoon if required and an email to all schools will be sent Friday afternoon to ensure that we have adequately communicated with all.
We hope that you will make plans to attend our middle school tournament and invest in the futures of our forensics students!
