Rankin High School You are cordially invited to the Middle of Nowhere Classic. We hope you will join us on Saturday, February 20, for a day full of excitement and competition. This year we will be offering the following TFA events: Student Congress, CX debate, LD debate (SPRING UIL TOPIC), Duet Acting, Duo Interp, Dramatic Interp, Humorous Interp, Original Oratory, Domestic Extemp, and Foreign Extemp. In addition, we will also offer Prose and Poetry. Due to the nature of our size and time limitations, students who choose to participate in debate will only be allowed to cross-enter in Student Congress. Also, limits have been placed on events but, if you find an event is closed, please e-mail or call me and I may be able to increase the limits. It will all depend on the entries in other events in that particular pattern. All entries need to be submitted online by 5:00 p.m., on Wednesday, February 17. This date and time also serves as the drop deadline. Any drops after 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday will be charged the cost of the entry fee. Registration will be held in the cafateria/multipurpose building, beginning at 8:00 a.m. All coaches need to be prepared to judge if necessary. If any school brings another judge, please provide his/her name at registration. If any coaches know of college students who are nearby and interested in judging, please pass along my contact information or forward their information to me.
