Dear UIL Coordinator/Sponsors:
Looking for a tournament? Look no further than Princeton High School for the 15th Annual Fall UIL Classic Tournament. The tournament will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2011. For those who haven't been here before and think we are too far away, we are located 8 miles east of McKinney and 25 miles west of Greenville on Highway 380.
This meet is a sanctioned tournament from the NTDA.
Events: CX, LD, Novice LD, Novice CX, Public Forum Debate, Duo, Prose, Poetry, Oratory, Student Congress, HI, DI, Informative, Persuasive, Science, Math, Number Sense, Calculator, Computer Application, Computer Science, Current Events plus we also have a Junior High Division in Oral Reading & LD Debate. There is no limit to the number of students you may enter in an event. Cross entries are at your own risk except in CX which no cross-entries allowed. The math test will be TMSCA Test. Current Events will be an original test. We will also have 2 sessions of Student Congress. Each Session will have it’s own awards!
Deadline is NOON on Wednesday, October 5.
Judging Requirements: You will be required to furnish a judge for each section. You must supply a judge for each speech section in which entries are submitted. It cannot be the same person. If you have CX and LD debate entries, you must supply a judge for every two teams per event. Failure to supply a judge will result in a $50.00 judging fee. Each school will receive a judging assignment sheet at registration.
Entry fees will be: $8.00 per IE entry, $7.00 per Student Congress entry, $20.00 per Duo & LD Debate per entry, $35.00 per CX Debate entry
Awards: for 1st – 6th. In all of the math events we will award 1st -6th per grade level and a “Top Gun” award. We will award the following team trophies: Overall Academic Champ, Overall Speech Team, Sweepstakes Runner-up and Sweepstakes.
Debate Drops: All debate drops on the day of the meet will result in a drop fee of $50.00 plus the loss of your entry fee.
Late Entries: Entries after noon on Wednesday, Oct 5th , will be $10.00 per IE entry and $30.00 for LD & Duet and $50.00 for CX Debate.
