Dear Colleagues:

 

We cordially invite your team to attend the Kingwood  High School Texas Forensic Association Individual Qualifying Tournament October 31 and November 1, 2008. We are proud to offer all TFA events as well as prose, poetry, impromptu, POI and Public Forum. In addition, to mark the occasion of Halloween we are offering a sBoo!ky prose event and a Halloween costume contest. 

We will offer a blend of volunteer community judges and an appropriate amount of paid contract judges. Judges interested in a contract should email Mr. Willis at Walter.Willis@humble.k12.tx.us.  A modest judging fee ($75) will apply to all schools. Coaches may opt out of this payment by judging 5 rounds themselves or by bringing a judge for these rounds. Finally, schools entering more than 11 debate slots will be responsible for extra judging, either provided or paid for.

Please note the following procedures: First, all entries should be made through Joy of Tournaments. Secondly, an offocial adult sponsor must accompany every squad at all times, regardless of the number of entries. Finally, we will close entries once we have reached maximum room capacity. Please enter early! Entries are due by midnight on October 28^th.

Please note that we are using the September/October NFL LD resolution and the October NFL PF resolution! Also we have shifted our format from the original framework posted. We will be hosting five rounds of varsity debate and four rounds of novice debate.
