Center High School
Roughrider UIL Invitational Tournament
Saturday, February 25, 2017
Center High School invites you to attend our Sixth Roughrider Spring Invitational Tournament. We will be offering all UIL Academic events (except Computer Science hands-on, written will be offered) including CX and LD debate. We will also be following the UIL Academic Conflict Pattern. All events will follow UIL rules and guidelines.
Entries will be accepted through Joy of Tournaments. The deadline for entries will be Wednesday, February 15th at 5:00 pm, or until all our spaces are filled. Judging/Grader requirements are found on the information page. This is a NTDA qualifier.
Concessions will be provided for students. Coaches and judges will have refreshments in the Coach’s Lounge. There are several fast food restaurants near campus.
Our goals for our spring tournament are fairly simple: Run on time (especially debate). Get the results right. Run on time. Provide a good experience and practice for the participants. Run on time. So, any advice or help that you can offer will be greatly appreciated. If you are willing to help any of our contest directors, please, contact one of the tournament directors.
Schedule note: If there are no cross entries that would be impacted, we will move Math up to 10:00 after Calculator. If there are no cross entries that would be impacted, we will move Literary Criticism up to 2:00 (or 3:00). Speaking events will be accelerated whenever possible.
We look forward to your visit to our campus.
