We cordially invite you to Louis D. Brandeis' 3rd Annual Fallen Heroes Forensics Forum in San Antonio on September 10th. We are positively thrilled to welcome you to our glorious campus. We will be offering one preliminary round for all events and three rounds for debate events.

If you're interested in judging, please contact Jason Miller at jason.miller@nisd.net

Events:
Humorous Interpretation, Dramatic Interpretation, Original Oratory, Duo Interpretation, Duet Acting, Poetry, Prose, Foreign Extemporaneous Speaking, Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking, Student Congress, Public Forum and Lincoln-Douglas Debate.

Students may cross-enter once in each round. Students competing in Student Congress are not allowed to cross-enter. Sweepstakes trophies will be awarded to the top three schools, speaker awards will be given and debate, and awards will be given for quarters and beyond in debate. We will not break brackets in debate.

Please note:
-A novice is defined as a student in their first year of high school competition.
-The Lincoln-Douglas topic will be the September/October NFL resolution.

*Debaters are reminded to report to rooms as soon as postings occur. If your students are not in their rooms by the time that is posted on the pairings, they will receive an automatic loss. Coaches and judges will be reminded of this as well. We will not have our tournament run late becaused competitors are not punctual. Thank you for understanding this issue.

*Cross-entered contestants are responsible for making it in time to the events. If they are not on time, we will not delay rounds for cross-entered contestants.

*We are implementing a new system where a cross-entered contestant may sign-in at their first contest room on the door if the judge isn't present, go to their other section, and then return ASAP.

Congress
During Prelims, students who are entered in SC may run for PO. We will be using adult scorers. The chamber can then order the docket as it sees fit. Congress will be using the following legislation:

Prelims: 1-15
Finals:  16-30

Available on the TFA website at: www.txfa.org/congress.asp

Entry Guidelines

All Texas Forensics Association rules will be followed. This is a TFA State qualifying tournament for member schools. Please enter as soon as possible, as the deadline for entries and drops is September 3rd due to the Labor Day holiday. You may enter up to eight LD debaters. All others will be wait-listed, and we'll notify you if they are eligible for entry. We will try our best to allow as many debaters as possible into the tournament.
