The Rumble in the Jungle

Dear Speech and Debate Friends and Colleagues:
Please join us for Madison Central's fourth annual tournament: the Madison Central Mid-State Invitational Tournament on October 13-14, 2017. 
In Debate, we offer Public Forum, Lincoln-Douglas, Policy Debate, and Congressional Debate.  
Flight A Individual Events are Novice and Varsity Prose, Dramatic Interpretation, Impromptu Speaking, Duet Acting, Original Oratory, and Program Oral Interpretation.  
Flight B Individual Events are Novice and Varsity Extemporaneous Speaking, Humorous Interpretation, Duo Interpretation,  Novice and Varsity Poetry Interpretation, Declamation and Informative Speaking.  
Per the standard for Mississippi tournaments, Debate prelims will be held on Friday evening with all Individual Events on Saturday. 
In Debate events (with the exception of Congressional Debate), quarterfinals, semifinals and finals will be held on Saturday morning. Congressional Debate will be held on Friday evening, consisting of one preliminary session and a final session.  The MHSAA Fall Bill Book will be used for the MC's tournament, with any out of state schools sending supplemental registration
to rclapper@madison-schools.com.
Sweepstakes trophies will be awarded to the top three schools in debate and individual events, as well as the top three schools overall.  We will also be awarding a "Top Individual Performer" award to the top three performers at the tournament. All students are only allowed to enter four events TOTAL, with anyone doing debate (including Congressional Debate) only being able to enter one Flight A event.
Please come to "the Jungle" at Madison Central High School, and join us for a weekend of food, fun and fantastic competition!
