District Speech & Debate Tournament Registration
This website - Joy of Tournaments - is the official "registration tool" for the Eastern Missouri NSDA District Tournament!
Before we go any further, there's some important information for you to review:
- Be aware that NSDA is NOT the same organization as MSHSAA. Both organizations offer District Tournaments and most schools in our region have entries to both tournaments. They are NOT mutually exclusive of each other! MSHSAA Districts serves as the "State Tournament Qualifier" and NSDA Districts serves as the "National Tournament Qualifier." This website will register your students for the NSDA DISTRICT TOURNAMENT - the tournament they have to compete in in order to qualify to the NSDA NATIONAL TOURNAMENT!
- The information on this website will seem rather sparse. That's INTENTIONAL so that coaches do not have to look in too many "digitial places" for information. You will want to review THIS PAGE of the Eastern Missouri Forensics website for FULL INFORMATION about NSDA Districts!
- This website is the registration tool for NSDA Speech & Debate Districts. This includes International Extemp, United States Extemp, Original Oratory, Informative Speaking, Humorous Interp, Dramatic Interp, Duo Interpretation, Program Oral Interpretation, Policy Debate, Lincoln-Douglas Debate, and Public Forum Debate. To enter your students into Congressional Debate, you need to use THIS REGISTRATION SITE. While these two tournaments are managed by the same group of people, and while they're both part of the "NSDA District Tournament Series", they are handled VERY DIFFERENTLY and are held on completely different weekends.
As you have questions, please don't hesitate to reach out! The District Committee is eager to help you and would MUCH rather answer questions well in advance of the tournament rather than work under assumptions!
