Whitehouse High School would like to invite you to our 9th Annual Wildcat Winter Games. This UIL speech and academic meet, will be held Friday and Saturday, January 20 and 21, 2017.
EVENTS: All UIL events plus NFL Lincoln Douglas Debate, Public Forum Debate, Student Congress, Original Oratory and Interp Events. All tests are from 3rd party vendors.

DEADLINES: All entries are due online by Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 4:00 PM. You may change names after this date, BUT drops made after Tuesday January 17, 2017 at 4:00 PM will result in the loss of your entry fee.
JUDGING: You must supply a judge/grader for every event in which your school is entered. If you do not provide a grader/judge your student will not be graded. For debate you must have 1 judge for every 4 LD contestants or 2 CX teams, or part thereof and 1 judge for every 4 PFD teams, or part thereof. For Prose/Poetry, Speech, and Writing Events, you must provide 1 judge for each 6 participants or part thereof. Debate judge fees will be $150 due to prelim and final round needs on Friday and Saturday. Judging fees are $100/judge for speaking events if you do not provide a judge, however we prefer judges over fees. AT MINIMUM, speech/debate team coaches MUST serve as judges. For writing events if you have no judge your student may compete, but they will not be graded. Please contact us ahead of time if this is a problem.

LD/PFD Entries: $25
Speech Events: $10
All Other Events: $8
AWARDS: Medals will be awarded for the top 6 places in each event. There will be sweepstakes awards given to the top performing schools based on the UIL point system for both big and small school events, but only UIL events count towards sweepstakes. In Science awards will also be given for the top score in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. We will also present awards in big and small school categories for all events except speech/debate, social studies, and current events. Please note this might be subject to change if we do not have enough schools competing in a particular event.
EXTEMP: WE WILL ALLOW USE OF ELECTRONIC EXTEMP FILES. All current UIL rules related to the disabling of Wi-Fi or other internet access must be followed.
UIL CX: Resolved: The United States federal government should substantially increase its
economic and/or diplomatic engagement with the People’s Republic of China.
UIL LD : RESOLVED: In matters of international trade, globalization ought to be valued above
NFL LD: Resolved: Public colleges and universities in the United States ought not restrict
any constitutionally protected speech.
PFD: Resolved: In order to better respond to international conflicts, the United States
should significantly increase its military spending.
HI, DI, Duo, OO, Poetry & Prose: We will not be performing document check: Prose/Poetry will be reader’s choice.
Computer Applications: Limit 3 participants per school. Schools must provide their own computers and printers. Entries limited to 25 due to lack of space.
Ready Writing/Journalism: We will take the first 40 entries due to lack of space. You must provide a grader for your students. Your students will not be graded if you do not provide a judge. Computers will be provided, however, students may use laptops in both writing competitions. Schools must provide their own power cords and printers if they use their own computers.
HOSPITALITY ROOM: A coaches and judges hospitality room will be provided. Continental breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be served. A concession stand will be available in the cafeteria for students.
