National Collegiate Forensic Tournaments

Dear Colleagues:
The George R. Brown Forensic Society (Rice) and The University of Houston (UH) Forensic Society invite you to The First Annual Owl and the Pussycat Swing National Collegiate Forensic Tournaments. The tournaments will be held on February 17-19 on the University of Houston Main Campus. We are committed to providing you and your students a wonderful and competitive forensics experience!
To say the least, ALL TOURNAMENT PARTICIPANTS WILL BE WELL-FED AND HAVE A BLAST!!!
The Swing will feature all eleven AFA-NIET events, LD Debate, and NPDA Debate. Depending upon the size of the entry, open and novice divisions of NPDA will be offered. Individual Events competitors will have two tournaments to enter during the weekend – with UH hosting a complete contest on Saturday and Rice running a second tournament that begins on Saturday evening and ends on Sunday.
All NPDA preliminary rounds are planned on Friday – with elimination rounds commencing on Saturday.
We place a high priority on providing participants with an experience that combines competition, education, and FUN! .
