SCHEDULE NOTE: Please check REVISED SCHEDULE.  Lunch for Saturday may be ordered from Jason's. Barbeque dinner will be served before AWARDS on Saturday. Sunday lunch will be provided from Subway. DIRECTIONS TO TYLER AND TJC WILL BE AVAILABLE UNDER THE REVISED SCHEDULE.

 Dear Director of Forensics:

On behalf of the Texas Intercollegiate Forensics Association, I would like to extend a sincere invitation for you and your students to compete at our open tournament.  The swing will be held on the campus of Tyler Junior College, November 4-6, 2011. 

The tournament hotel is the Baymont Inn, located at 3913 Frankston Hwy, Tyler, TX 75701.  Their phone number is 903.939.0100.  When making the reservations, be sure to ask for "TIFA." The rate is $74.99 plus tax (9% city tax = $81.74 per room per night.).  Texas schools will also need to bring your tax-exempt number if you do not wish to pay tax.  Reservations must be made by October 24th, 2011. If you have questions or concerns, contact the hotel general manager Amy Patel.

EARLY DEPARTURE AND CANCELATION FEE

         In the event that a guest who has reserved a room within your block checks out prior to the guest's reserved checkout date, an early departure fee of $74.99+tx as per room type reserved  will be charged to that guest as per guest's  individual account. Guests wishing to avoid this fee must advise the hotel by or before the cutoff date. The hotel will deduct any such fees that are collected from any amount you may owe as sleeping room attrition. Any change or cancelation has to be made before the cut-off date of October 24,2011 in order to avoid any charges.

Obtain a cancelation number, date and time of cancelation from the hotel for references.

The members of the TIFA Tournament Committee and the forensics program at Tyler Junior College have been preparing what should be competitive, enjoyable tournaments, including competition in Debate and all Individual Events. We look forward to seeing you on November 4th for some outstanding competition.
