National Collegiate Forensic Tournaments

Dear Colleagues:
The Mixon Lyceum of Louisiana State University at Baton Rouge (LSU) and The University of Houston (UH) Forensic Society invite you to The Ninth Annual Pussycat Swing National Collegiate Forensic Tournament. The tournament will be held on September 9-11 on the University of Houston Main Campus. We are committed to providing you and your students a wonderful and competitive forensics experience!
To say the least, ALL TOURNAMENT PARTICIPANTS HAD A BALL LAST YEAR!!!
The Swing will feature all eleven AFA-NIET events, LD Debate, NPDA Debate, and Forensic Interpretation (the NFA experiemental event for 2011-2012). Depending upon the size of the entry, the Open and Novice Divisions of NPDA will be offered. Individual Events competitors will have two tournaments to enter during the weekend – with UH hosting a complete contest on Saturday and LSU running a second tournament with all scheduled rounds on Sunday.
All IPDA & NPDA debate preliminary rounds are planned on Friday – with elimination rounds commencing on Saturday.
We place a high priority on providing participants with an experience that combines competition, education, and FUN!
