The Seventh Annual Pussycat Swing
National Collegiate Forensic Tournaments
July 21. 2009
Dear Colleagues:
The Mixon Lyceum of Louisiana State University at Baton Rouge (LSU) and The University of Houston (UH) Forensic Society invite you to The Sixth Annual Pussycat Swing National Collegiate Forensic Tournament. The tournament will be held on September 11-13 on the University of Houston Main Campus. We are committed to providing you and your students a wonderful and competitive forensics experience!
To say the least, ALL TOURNAMENT PARTICIPANTS HAD A BALL LAST YEAR!!!
The Swing will feature all eleven AFA-NIET events, LD Debate and NPDA Debate. Depending upon the size of the entry, the Open and Novice Divisions of NPDA will be offered. Individual Events competitors will have two tournaments to enter during the weekend – with UH hosting a complete contest on Saturday and LSU running a second tournament that begins on Saturday evening and ends on Sunday.
All debate preliminary rounds are planned on Friday – with elimination rounds commencing on Saturday.
We place a high priority on providing participants with an experience that combines competition, education, and FUN! With this in mind, a Top Novice Award will be given in each event.
Please plan to join us on September 11-13! If additional information is needed, please contact us by e-mail at ‘drmikefain@aol.com’ or by phone at (713) 385-0541.
Come see the pussycats purr AND ‘laissez-les bonne temps roulez’!!!
