Speech & Debate UIL Academics Meet
Thanks so much for considering our Tournament. We have a large campus and lots of room, please bring your whole squad.
This is definitely a “no frills” tournament, meaning when an event is over, we will immediately award medals and coaches and kids can be on their way back home. You won’t have to wait until 6:00 PM for awards. Get in, get out, get on with your life. J However, for the coaches and judges, “no frills” DOES NOT extend to the hospitality room where it will be run by one of our team mom’s, Anne Fulton, who is also a professional event planner. The food is amazing. . .you won’t be disappointed. Also, Amy Marxer, another of our team mom’s, will provide an amazing concession stand for your students. We will have a full breakfast including donuts, muffins, breakfast burritos, and a full lunch including hamburgers, hot dogs, and pizza. Last year we sold out of all hamburgers and hot dogs. . .this year we are ready and will have plenty to sell. Speech & Debate will also be very competitive as we have had as many as 80 LD Debaters in the past as well as Extemp and Interp (NFL and Prose & Poetry) events. However, we will need your judges. Please bring plenty so we don’t fall behind. Thanks for coming!
