Mt. Pleasant High School invites you to participate in the Winter Tiger Invitational meet on January 26th and 27th at Mt. Pleasant High School. All UIL speaking and academic events will be offered, and we will be using reputable 3rd party materials. With the exception of speaking events and computer applications, we will divide by large school small school. First and second place sweepstakes trophies will be awarded in each division.
All non-speaking events will be $8.00, while speaking entries will be $10.00 and CX is $25.00 and LD $15.00. There is also a $10.00 hospitality charge.
Each school will be limited to five entries per event with the following exceptions:
Number Sense, Calculator, Math, and Science- unlimited entries
Computer Science – 3 teams of four or 12 individual entries
Computer Applications – 4 entries
Also, due to lack of space, Computer Applications is limited to the first 22 individual entries overall. Contestants will need to bring extension cords and power strips.
JUDGING: You must supply a judge/grader for each event your school has entered. If you do not provide a grader/judge your student will not be graded. For debate you must have 1 judge for every 2 LD contestants or 2 CX teams. For Prose/Poetry, Speech, and Writing Events, you must provide 1 judge for each 6 participants. Judging fees are $150.00/judge for speaking events if you do not provide a judge. While we enjoy collecting money, we'd rather have a judge!! Please contact us ahead of time if this is a problem.
