Melissa High School Presents: The Cardinal Winter Classic February 3-4, 2012
Dear Colleagues: The Melissa High School UIL & Debate Team cordially invites each of you to the Cardinal Winter Classic on Friday, February 3, 2012 and Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Meliss High School in Melissa, Texas. We will be offering the following Speech, Debate, and Academic events: Policy Debate, PF Debate, UIL-LD Debate, NFL-LD Debate, International Extemporaneous, United States Extemporaneous, Persuasive Speaking, Informative Speaking, Poetry, Prose, Duo, Humorous, Dramatic, Original Oratory, Congessional Debate, Number Sense, Current Events, Ready Wrting, Calculator Applications, Computer Applications, Spelling, Accounting, Science, LIterary Criticism, Feature Writing, Computer Science, Editorial Writing, Social Studies, Headline Writing, and Math. For Congressional Debate we will be utilizing the TFA Legislation available at http://www.txfa.org/congress.asp, Some of the Debate Events may take place at Melissa Middle School which is approximately 200yrds from the High School and is connected by a side walk. UIL ACADEMIC EVENTS WILL BE USING UIL SET B MATERIAL. Cross Entries: Cross Enter students at your own risk. We have tried to schedule events in such a way as to allow students to compete in several contests throughout the day. Pay close attention to the schedule to avoid problems.
