PANTHER FALL INVITATIONAL UIL ACADEMIC MEET

LIT CRIT Competition start time has changed to a 3:30 start time to better reflect the conflict pattern and allow students to compete in multiple events.
Greetings UIL Sponsors,
Registration will close October 16th @ 3:30. All debate will be using UIL resolutions.
All UIL events will be offered, and we will be using Independant Materials. Poetry/Prose is Reader's Choice.
Student Congress will consist of 2 independant sessions. Medals will be awarded for the morning and the afternoon session. You must register for both sessions. This should be good preperation for the UIL Regional Contest that will be happening within 2 weeks. This will allow contestants eliminated from competion to compete in the afternoon if they are wanting to. Congress Legislation is Posted on the Congress Tab. We are using items from the TFA Docket, but if you want to submit your own, please email your legislation.
Things to know:
Mabank High School is a member school of the Northeast Texas Debate Association, thus this tournament is a qualifying tournament for the NTDA Championship Tournament.
Medals will be awarded to the top three winners in each event. 1st place trophy will be presented to the schools earning the most points according to UIL rules. 2nd place schools will be recognized. Results packets may be picked up at the end of the day.
PLEASE NOTE: YOUR STUDENTS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO COMPETE IN DEBATE UNLESS YOU PROVIDE THE NECESSARY NUMBER OF JUDGES REQUESTED. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
- In addition, we ask the sponsors to assist as judges for computer applications, spelling, accounting, literary criticism, number sense, calculator, mathematics, science, current events, social studies, journalism, ready writing, and computer science.
- Computer Science: This event involves a team of at least three students. Multiple choice and hands on test will be given.
- Computer Applications: Students are responsible for bringing computers, printers, disks, software, extension cords and all other needed items. Each school must supply a grader. Entries will be limited to the first 25 received because of the lack of space. Please note that the computer applications contest fills up very fast.
