Are you ready for some competition… and some fun?
Join us Oct. 22, 2011 for the NTDA Championship qualifier Hallsville October Games. We have some exciting activities planned to correlate with some great speech and debate competition. Awards will be given in:
COSTUME CONTEST - Scariest, Most Original, Funniest
(Must be Dress Code Appropriate)
Students may Compete in casual dress or costume PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST (1 per school – already carved) SCARY STORYTELLING CONTEST (can be original or published) THESE ACTIVITIES ARE FREE FOR COMPETITORS AND COACHES!!
FORENSIC EVENTS
VCX - $30
NCX - $25 VLD (UIL) - $20 NLD (UIL) - $15 PFD (Oct. NFL) - $25 IEs - $10 each
Persuasive Speaking Informative Speaking Poetry (Readers’ Choice and No Doc check) Prose (Readers’ Choice and No Doc check) Humorous Interp (NFL) Dramatic Interp (NFL) Original Oratory (NFL) Duo (NFL) Student Congress (NFL) using TFA Fall 2011 legislation found at www.txfa.org
Students may enter 2 individual events. Students may only enter 1 debate event.
1 Judge per 2 CX debate teams or part thereof
1 Judge per 4 LD or PF debate teams or part thereof 1 Judge per 6 IE competitors (including Congress) FEES:
- Uncovered Judges = $75.00
- Drops after Thursday October 20, 2011 @ 5pm will result in forfeiture of entry fee. - Day-Of drops will result fine equal to twice (2X) the entry fee
- Event changes (Move M. Witt from Poetry to Prose) after Friday, October 21 @ 5pm will be result in a $5.00 fee.
