Honored Coaches and Students, It gives us great pleasure to invite you to the Captain’s Challenge 13th Annual Deer Park TFA Qualifying Tournament To be held on Sept. 5-6, 2008, at Deer Park High School (South Campus), located at 710 W. San Augustine in Deer Park, Texas. This will be the “season-opener,” and we hope you’ll join us! We do expect a large number of entries; so if you plan to join us, please get your entry in early. However, do remember that once you enter, you are obligated for those fees. There will be no preset entry limits -- first come, first serve until our facilities are full. We are offering 4 preliminary rounds in all the debate events, as well as over 6 hours of Congressional Debate, Student PO’s in Varsity Congress, and Novice divisions in Extemp, Prose, Poetry, HI, DI, OO, CX, LD and Student Congress. The preliminary session of Novice Congress is scheduled so as to permit students in Novice Congress to watch the first prelim session of Varsity Congress so they may learn from it.
