Dear Colleagues:

Cypress Ridge High School will be hosting its 6th annual speech and debate tournament (TAKE 2) on February 19th and 20th, 2010.  Cypress Ridge hopes that our tournament will be a new experience for both novice and varsity competitors.  Our school looks forward to a fun, competitive, exciting tournament.

Entry Limits: Individual events entries will be unlimited until we are full. We will accept 8 LDers per school, until we are full.   Public Forum teams will be limited to 4 teams per school until we are full.  It is unlikely that we will be able to accommodate any entries beyond these limits; however, we will allow a wait list for any room that becomes available.

Important Note:  A full-time school district employee must be present at all times or the entire squad will be disqualified (drop fees will apply).  Also, since we are so close to the state meet, a check or PO must be presented at registration.

Important deadlines:  We will take entries until we are full; however, we suggest early entry to ensure all of your numbers are accepted.  You will be charged for all entries on Tuesday, February 9, 2010.  All drops between noon on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 and Thursday, February 18, 2010 will be charged twice the entry fee.  All drops/no shows the day of the tournament will be charged three times the original entry.

Judges: Coaches will be expected to judge between 4-6 rounds, if needed.  A flat judging fee of $80 will be charged for each participating school.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

Please do not hesitate to contact me at joseph.baker@cfisd.net  or 281-807-8004 if we can assist you in any way.
