2009 Bayou City Swing Hosted by LSC-North Harris and LSC-Kingwood
On behalf of the Lone Star College System, we would like to extend a sincere invitation for you and your students to attend the 2009 Bayou City Swing. The swing, which includes competition in Debate and all individual Events, will be held on the campus of Lone Star College-Kingwood, October 16-18, 2009. We will once again be using the La Quinta Inn & Suites located at 22790 US 59 North, Kingwood, TX 77339 as our primary hotel. They have guaranteed us a very reasonable rate of $80 inclusive per night. Please call 281-359-6611 to make reservations or for further information. Make sure to mention that you are attending the Lone Star College Kingwood Speech Tournament. Please bring your tax exemption form if you do not wish to pay state tax. As an alternative, you may also want to consider the Homewood Suites at 23320 Hwy. 59 North, Kingwood, TX 77339. Although they are slightly more expensive, they offer suites with full kitchens. For example, they have a suite that sleeps nine people (one king bed, two double beds, one pull-out couch, and one rollaway bed) with a kitchen for $139 per night. The forensics programs at Lone Star College-North Harris and Kingwood have been preparing what is sure to be a competitive, enjoyable, and educational tournament.
