Dear Speech and Debate Coach:

You cordially invited to attend the Americas High Texas Forensic Association State Qualifying Tournament.  It will be held on Friday and Saturday, September 26-27, 2008. The tournament schedule is created so that students may enter a large number of events throughout the weekend.

We will be offering the following events:  Student Congress, CX, LD, Oratory, FX, DX, DI, HI, OO, Duet Acting, Duo Interp, Prose, Poetry, and Impromptu. 

A hospitality room will be provided for all coaches and judges.  There will also be a snack bar for students.

Registration will be in the theatre classroom at 3:00pm. Due to the fact that we do not have students on campus Friday, we will be starting all rounds as early as possible right after the Congress Sessions end.

Entries are due on Monday, September 22 at 4:00 pm.   I will accept drops and changes until Wednesday, September 24  at 4:00 pm. After that time, all changes and drops will accrue a charge of the original fee doubled.  

We are asking all teams to bring at least one judge to the tournament. We do not anticipate a shortage in judges but just in case we would like to have this covered! We are hoping not to use coaches as judges if possible, but we all know that rarely happens.
