District Tournament Set-up
I will notify the council if we need to do this since we are doing the tournament on-line. The only issue we may have is extemp questions.
Tentative Schedule - UPDATED
- Final Registration – 7:00 to 7:45 A.M. (Eastern)
- Morning Meeting – 7:45 A.M.
- Round 1 – 8:15 A.M.
We will be using the Modified Plan that was based on the old Northwest Indiana Plan with three preliminary rounds and one semi-final followed by a final. Until we know our total number of entry and the ability to utilize judges, we cannot predict the times of specific rounds and the awards program. Rest assured, the council will do its best to end the day as efficiently as possible without harming the integrity of the tournament.
The Details
Please remember that the PHS campus is a non-smoking campus. We ask that you inform your judges (and students) of this.
We ask that all contestants and JUDGES remain on site. We will provide food throughout the day. As further incentive to stay, keep in mind that it only helps our district as PHS donates any profits from the tournament back to the district.
This year, your drivers will be able to drop off in front of the school. The best place to park for the day is in the north parking lot.
Excitement!
Let’s fill all our spots and have the biggest NW District tournament ever! Let’s let them compete by starting them in NFL events now. Remember, you have a monetary incentive to fill all of your spots.
Qualification
12 entries are required for two qualifiers in the individual events.
10 entries are required for two qualifiers in Duo.
