District Debate Tournament
Dear NFL Coach:
You and your team are cordially invited to attend the NFL District Debate Tournament. The Congress Tournament will be held at Madison HS on Thursday. Registration for Congress must be completed on this web site and also hard copy registration by 7:00pm on January 26, 2012. The registration for the speech and debate NFL tournament is due the same day January 26, 2012.
The Speech and Debate tournament will take place on Febuary 2-4, 2012 at Madison HS in Rexburg, Idaho.The tournament will feature Policy, Lincoln-Douglas, Public Forum Debate, Humorous Interp, Dramatic Interp, Duo Interp, Original Oratory, US Extemp and Foreign Extemp. We will follow the National Forensic League rules. It is the affirmative responsibility of all coaches to read and know the rules.
Remember that a student may enter two speech or debate events, plus congress. Students entered in policy debate may not enter public forum debate due to schedules. Public forum debaters may only enter duo interp if they have the same partners for PF and DUO. Students may enter LD and PF. Remember, students may only enter two events. (Congress is a separate tournament and does not count as one of their events.)
On this website you will find important information: the tournament schedule, tournament procedures, and registration forms.The registration deadline is 7:00 p.m. on Thursady, January 26, 2012. You must register both online and with the traditional paper entry form by the deadline.Entries are based upon the NFL rules be sure to read them.Each school/coach has been assigned a board member to assist you through the registration process. Please use their knowledge to assist you with registration questions or concerns (the List is below). The tab room is as always open to coaches. Please read the page on tournament etiquette. Tournament management will be on computer with Joy of Tournaments.
