Greetings!

 

This site is for the District Competition in Congressional Debate. Please go to

for information and registration for the speech and debate portion of the Eastern Missouri District competition, to be held March 8-10, 2012.

 

 

Cara Hurst is the Director of Congress and is being assisted by Justin Seiwell. 

 

Please submit two pieces of legislation to Cara by February 1st.

 

Please register your students by 4 PM Friday, February 17th, and have the "green sheets" to Cara by that time.  Don't forget to include alternates in case you need to make substitutions!

 

Please go to the "Registration" page and enter your students.  You can place up to two in the Senate and however many you are allowed in the House -- please balance them in the FOUR Houses.  Indicate if a student wishes to run for Presiding Officer -- so please only put one potential PO in each chamber.  Cara and Justin will balance the chambers after registration is closed -- and, if we don't get enough legislators, they will collapse houses, so be sure to print and send your "green sheets" from Joy.
