2010 Arizona NFL District Tournament
Dates: 2/25/2010 - 2/27/2010

2010 Arizona NFL District Tournament

National Qualifier

February 25-27, 2010

Brophy College Prep

MY PLEA TO YOU: PLEASE READ EVERY WORD OF THE INFORMATION PROVIDED HERE AND ON THE OTHER TABS AND CALL ME IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS.

It is vitally important for everyone to understand that this tournament, above all others, is absolutely the most tedious to prepare and run for everyone involved.  As coaches YOU have so many details that YOU must take care of if you want your students to be able to compete in this tournament.  The committee cannot and will not allow some schools to enter and compete if the requirements have not been met.

That being said . . . I hope you are ready, because it is time to qualify to NFL Nationals!

The Arizona NFL District Committee is pleased to invite you to this year’s national qualifying tournament.
We also want to take this time to thank Brophy College Preparatory's administration, team and their team's parent association for hosting this year’s tournament.  We look forward to your participation in one of the most exciting and the most important tournaments of the year, and we eagerly anticipate the selection of the finest slate of competitors to represent our state at the NFL Nationals in Kansas City, Missouri in June.

Your District Committee is working hard to provide you with the best tournament possible.  We want to hear about your concerns and help you with your questions, so please do not hesitate to contact us.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

The District Tournament will be a three day event and follow the same format as last year.

The Speech & Interpretation events will be tabulated by using the California Plan, which means that each event will require 3 judges in each preliminary round and will have a pre-determined number of rounds.

The Debate events will continue to use the traditional up/down method: two losses and the debater or team will be eliminated from the tournament.

The Student Congress portion of the tournament will run on Friday morning and afternoon.
