PUBLIC FORUM DEBATE
The Public Forum Debate qualifier will be held on April 7th, 2017 at Moundridge High School. Tammy Unruh will be the host.
The April topic will be debated. Resolved: The United States ought to replace the Electoral College with a direct national popular vote.
Each school may enter four teams. Entries count as one and will count against your degrees and memberships. Below is the number of entries each school is allotted according to the NFL.
1 - 15 members and degrees 3 entry 16 - 20 members and degrees 5 entries
21 - 30 members and degrees 8 entries 31 - 40 members and degrees 10 entries
41 - 50 members and degrees 12 entries 51 - 60 members and degrees 13 entries
61 - 70 members and degrees 15 entries 71 - 80 members and degrees 17 entries
81 - 90 members and degrees 19 entries 91 - 100 members and degrees 20 entries
101-120 members and degrees 22 entries 121-140 members and degrees 24 entries
141-160 members and degrees 26 entries 161-180 members and degrees 27 entries
181-200 members and degrees 28 entries 201-230 members and degrees 29 entries
231-260 members and degrees 30 entries 261-300 members and degrees 31 entries
301-350 members and degrees 32 entries 351-400 members and degrees 33 entries
401-500 members and degrees 34 entries 501-600 members and degrees 35 entries
Students in Public Forum may compete in student congress, L-D, or one IE event (they may not do policy debate but may do duo interp if both are the same team).
Each school MUST provide ONE judge PLUS the coach for each team entered. College sophomores may judge.
Entry fee is $20 per team. Make checks payable to West Kansas NFL.
Green sheets are due on April 31st, 2017.

The March/April L-D topic will be debated: Resolved: The United States ought to guarantee the right to housing.
Each school may enter up to four debaters in the district tournament. The L-D entries WILL count against your total entries based on memberships and degrees on record at the national office (see above for the scale).
Each school MUST provide ONE judge PLUS the coach for each debater entered. Without your judges you will not be allowed to compete. College sophomores are allowed to judge.
Each debater must be a NFL member at least seven days prior to the district tournament.
L-D debaters may have participated in policy debate. If they did they may not enter the IE district tournament.

Green sheets are due on March 31st, 2017. Your official entry on JOT will be your green sheet. Make sure you bring your signed green sheet to registration at the tournament. Please fax them to Nicholas Owen at 785- 309-3501.

Rounds will continue until we have the national qualifiers. Awards will follow.
Work assignments will be made when we know who is entering. Lunch is on your own.
