Welcome Northern Illinois NFL District Coaches!

The Northern Illinois NFL District tournament will be held on March 2-3, 2012 at Glenbrook South High School in Glenview, IL.  All debate events (Policy, Lincoln-Douglas, Congressional Debate, and Public Forum) will begin on Friday afternoon and carry over to Saturday.  Speech events will start Saturday morning.  Your tournament hosts will be  Tara Tate and Mark Maranto.  We hope that the facilities and hospitality will continue in the same tradition of previous NFL District tournaments.

All NFL qualifying events will be offered.  Students may enter up to 2 events with the following restrictions:  No student may enter two of the following:  Policy Debate, Lincoln Douglas Debate, Public Forum Debate.  All other combinations of double-entry are permitted.  Students that double-enter must complete a Single Entry Letter of Intent Form (available at http://www.nflonline.org/AboutNFL/LeagueManuals#DistrictForms).  A student that qualifies in a team event (policy, public forum, or duo) AND an individual event MUST attend Nationals in the team event, unless both members of the team qualify in an individual event (and both members fill out a Single Entry Letter of Intent Form).  This form MUST be turned in at Registration.

We will be using the March Public Forum topic and the March/April Lincoln-Douglas topic.

Please contact Tara Tate via email if you want to provide some of your speech judging.  You still have the option of hiring through the tournament (schools with large entries must hire judges through the tournament).  However, if you have school judges that could fit in sections OR non-affiliated judges you want the district to hire, please let Tara know immediately at ttate@glenbrook225.org.

As a reminder, you may enter up to four entries in each event, excluding Congress (limits on Congress are based on your chapter strength).  However, your overall entry (combining non-Congressional Debate with Speech) is limited by the quota set by the number of members/degrees for your chapter.
