Dear East Iowa NFL Coaches

We are reaching an important point in the season!  I look forward to seeing you all at the upcoming East Iowa District Congress Tournament, which is the qualifier to the National Forensic League National Tournament.  The tournament will be held at Davenport West High School on 24 March 2012.  Enclosed, please find relevant information on schedule and fees as well as necessary forms to participate in the tournament.  Remember, in order to compete at the district tournament, students must be NFL members in good standing and must be on chapter lists 14 days before the tournament date. 

Legislation is due to Pete Clancy no later than 10 March 2012.

Students wishing to double enter this year’s qualifier must also fill out an intent form prior to the beginning of tournament competition.  Intent forms should be returned to me along with the green sheets at the speech and debate districts. NOTE:  You may download a "pre-populated" green sheet for Congress from the [Entries] page of this website after you have registered your team and allocated your Congress students to the chambers.  I encourage all coaches to download or print the most recent edition of the district tournament manual from the NFL website (www.nflonline.org), as there are always rule changes and entry restrictions.  One other reminder—no school will be permitted to compete at the district tournament if it has any outstanding debts to the NFL; please check your payment status with the national office and pay any fees prior to the tournament date.
