The Raymond Central High School Central Players cordially invite you to attend our 25th annual Mustang Invitational on January 14, 2012. You may register for events via the Joy of Tournaments website at http://www.joyoftournaments/ne/raymond. Our tournament will be flighted with registration running from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m. A General Meeting will be held at 8:15 a.m. in the Old Gym.
Think Green Update: If you attended our meet last year, please remember to bring your tote bag back for your ballots! Remember, you do receive a small prize for THINKING GREEN!
ENTRIES: Each school may have up to five entries in each event except for Duet and OID. OID may have two entries per school. DUET may have FOUR entries per school. Please don't ask for more as we do not have the room to accomodate. Students may double enter in each flight except for students in extemp. (They may not double enter in Flight A, but they can in Flight B.) NSAA rules will be followed. Please be advised that though the entry limit per event is five per school (with the exception of OID and Duet), we do not have any extra rooms in our building. When we reach the limit for entries and room space in an event, that event will be closed to more entries. I apologize for this, but we just don't have the room. Our construction has been completed and we are excited to show off our new addition. However, we no longer have the use of the portables. This is great news for those competitors who had to freeze as they travelled outdoors to make it to their round. The bad news is that even with our new addition, we really have no extra rooms. This being said, please make sure you enter your events early to prevent missing out on the opportunity to compete.
TRIATHLON COMPETITION: A student may enter in the triathlon if they are entered in three individual events. Duet and OID are NOT individual events. All contest rules apply. Remember, if any student is in extemp, the other two events must come from Flight B.
AWARDS: Championship, runner up, and third place team sweepstakes will be presented. Triathlon awards will be given to the top three individuals. The top 5 OIDs and top 5 Duets will advance to Finals. There will be no Honors Finals for OID or Duet. The top ten in every other event will advance to Champs Finals and Honors Finals. (The top five will be in Champs Finals, the next five will be in Honors Finals.) All finalists will be given awards. First place in each event receives a trophy; second through tenth will receive medals. Round ribbons will also be given. Ties in finals will be broken by the following criteria: 1) Judge's Preference 2) Reciprocals 3) Total Points.
JUDGES: Events with more than 50 entries will have 3 prelim judges. Events with under 50 will only have 2 prelim judges.
You must furnish one judge for every 5 entries or part thereof. (5 entries = 1 judge, 6 entries = 2 judges) There will be a $20 charge for each open judging slot. Remember, if you want to judge, you count as one judge. All judges must be available for finals. (Failure to do so will result in a $20 charge to your school.)
