Dear Forensics Colleague,

Papillion La Vista South High School cordially invites you to attend the 2nd annual PL South Speech Tournament on Saturday, February 4, 2012.  We will have three rounds and finals.  Please bring judges!  If you have provided all required judges and have more that can be hired, I will hire them at $10.00 a round.

We will be following NSAA rules for all events.

ENTRIES AND FEES

CHANGE** Students may TRIPLE enter.  Please note, however, we reserve the right to limit entries based on available space. 

The entry fee is $7.00 per event.

Any entry not 'covered' by your judges will cost an additional $10 per entry

THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS FOR DROPS AFTER FEBRUARY 1st!

JUDGES

  • You must provide one adult, qualified judge for every 5 entries.
  • Any entry not 'covered' by your judges will cost an additional $10/entry.
  • Please try to cover as many judges as possible.
  • There will be 2 judges in round one and 1 judge in round two to provide 3 preliminary round ballots.

AWARDS

Ribbons will be awarded in preliminary rounds for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places.  Trophies will be awarded to the champion in each event, with medals for 2nd-6th places (and 7th-12th for those events that qualify for Honors finals).  Team sweepstakes trophies will be awarded to 1st-3rd places.

CONCESSIONS

There will be a concession stand and a judges/coaches lounge provided all day.  Please help support our program by encouraging your students to use our concession stand instead of the vending machines.
