Gator Invite 2012 The Lincoln North Star Speech Team would like to invite you to the Gator Speech Invitational on Saturday, February 12, 2012! 1. Format: The tournament format will include 3 rounds plus finals. (Last year we used the maximum rooms available. If we have more entries this year, we will need to change the format to a 2 round flighted tournament. If this happens, we will notify you as soon as all entries are in.) We are not separating novice and varsity competitors, but when you arrive at the meet, we will ask you to indicate which competitors are novice so they can compete for top Novice honors. 2. Competitors may triple enter unless they are an extemper. Extemp contestants should be limited to two events to ensure we keep rounds running on time. 3. Fees: $7.00 per entry. 4. Judging: We are asking you to supply one qualified judge for every five entries or portion thereof. We will charge $15 for each non-covered entry. 5. Awards Prelims: Students placing 1st-3rd in a preliminary round will receive a ribbon. Finals: Places 1st – 3rd will receive a trophy and finalists in 4-6 places will receive a medal. (Duet and OID will receive medals for top places) Top Novice: An award will be given to the top novice in each individual event. Team: Sweepstakes trophies will be awarded to the Top 3 teams. 6. Registration will take place online at www.joyoftournaments.com. Registration deadline is Tuesday, February 7th at 5:00 pm. Fees will be calculated as of Wednesday, Feb 8th at noon.
