Welcome all to the 2nd annual Mountain Heritage "Cougar Clash"

Please come and test your strategies against some of the finest competition and enjoy our beautiful mountain scenery!

We will offer the usual events, however,  we reserve the right to combine similar events that have a low number of entries. 

DEBATE: Congress, Public Forum, Open L-D using current NFL topics.  (If there is enough interest I will be glad to offer Policy and/or Supplemental.  Please call or email your interest)

SPEECH: Extemporaneous, Impromptu, Original Oratory, Expository, Declamation, Story Telling, Radio Announcing, Prose/Poetry (either or mixed).

THEATRE: Duo Interpretation, Humorous Interp, Dramatic Interp

Directions from the north & east: Take I-40 to the Marion exit 86 and follow 221 to 226 toward Spruce Pine.  At the top of the mountain turn RIGHT passing Wal Mart and Grassy Creek.  Turn LEFT onto 19E, MHHS is on the LEFT after passing through Burnsville proper.

Directions from the south & west: Follow I-26 to exit 9, merge onto 19E.  MHHS is on the RIGHT (first traffic light).
