Dear fellow Forensics Coaches and Students:
The Oak Grove High School Warrior Speech & Debate invites you to join us for the 14TH ANNUAL WARRIOR INVITATIONAL. We are pleased to invite everyone that attended our tournament last year and any new school that would like to join us for a fun weekend of speech, debate, and interpretation competition. We are also incredibly excited to announce that The Warrior Invitational has been chosen as a 2018 NIETOC bid tournament! The WARRIOR INVITATIONAL will offer the following events:
Policy Debate, Varsity Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Novice Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Varsity Public Forum Debate, Novice Public Forum Debate, and Congressional Debate (on Friday Night).
FLIGHT A EVENTS:
Impromptu, Varsity Prose Interpretation, Novice Prose Interpretation, Dramatic Interpretation, Original Oratory, Duet Acting, Program of Oral Interpretation, and the supplemental 9-10th grade event of Expository Speaking.
FLIGHT B EVENTS:
Varsity Extemporaneous Speaking, Novice Extemporaneous Speaking, Varsity Poetry Interpretation, Novice Poetry Interpretation, Duo Interpretation, Humorous Interpretation, Declamation, Informative Speaking, and the supplemental 9th-10th grade event of Storytelling
In all events schools may enter up to 10 entries per event except for Congressional Debate (max of 6) and the supplemental events (max of 4). A waiting list will also be provided if the host school can accommodate more entries. Students entering Debate may enter only 1 event in Flight A and 2 events in Flight B. Rules, tournament schedules, contact numbers and addresses, hotel information, and directions to the Oak Grove High School Campus are included on the website. We hope you will make plans to attend our tournament for an exciting weekend of speech competition. In addition, beginning in the 2016-2017 competition season, students competing in novice events can only receive a leg to state qualification by making finals.
