R. C. STREATER SPEECH CLASSIC- Forest Lake Senior High
 
Dear Speech Colleagues:

The Forest Lake Senior High speech coaches and students cordially invite you to participate in our twenty third annual Forest Lake Invitational Speech Tournament - The R. C. Streater Speech Classic.  Specifics are as follows: 

DATE:  Saturday, February 13, 2010

FORMAT:  THREE (3) rounds plus a Final and an Honor Final in each event.

EVENTS: 13 MSHSL events (MSHSL RULES will apply in all events; except in Drama, Humor, Duo, and Oratory where the NFL rules will be allowed.)

DOUBLE ENTRIES:  Students may enter in two events.  Students may double enter in any two events, except Discussion. For draw events they will have to adjust for the schedule; the schedule will not adjust for them. 

FEES: $6.00 per entry in each event. A Duo pairing counts as one entry.  No refunds for drops after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 10th.

JUDGES: One judge per six entries (or fraction thereof); based on preliminary reg., regardless of later drops.  Please indicate whether the judge prefers PA only, Interp only.  If they can judge both, select both boxes. 

YOU MAY HIRE JUDGES THROUGH THE TOURNAMENT AT $70.00 PER JUDGE.

DRAW: 30 MINUTE PREP TIME IN ALL DRAW EVENTS.

  Extemp Rdg.- Prose 1-10  
                           Poetry - 1-22
  Discussion -  Area III - Space Exploration

SCHEDULE:
REGISTRATION 7:30-8:30 a.m.
Draws 8:30
Round 1 9:00
Round 2 10:30
Round 3 11:45

Lunch 12:15-1:45 p.m.

Finals 2:00
Awards 4:00

AWARDS: Trophies to the top 6 in each event, ribbons to all other finalists.
 Sweepstakes trophies will be given to the top three placing big schools (40+ entries) and the top three small schools (39-).
