2018 Harvard Tournament

The 44th Annual Harvard National Forensics Tournament 

Even in the dead of winter, inexpensive hotels are difficult to find near Cambridge.  We have secured special rates with the following properties.  In each case, it is necessary when making reservations to indicate that you are attending the Harvard Speech and Debate Tournament. 

Hotels

The Hyatt Regency Cambridge, 575 Memorial Drive, Cambridge

100 rooms. Situated on the Charles River, a five-minute drive to Harvard. The Hyatt is a spectacular property. The hotel also provides one-way complimentary shuttle service to CRLS in the mornings.  Rates are $162.00 per night for up to four persons per room; this includes complimentary access to the Hyatt health club with full lap pool.  Reservations can be made by calling 800-233-1234 or 617-492-1234 by January 24,2018.

Le Meridien, Cambridge MA  

75 Rooms. Le Meridien is a 4 Diamond rated property, located 3 blocks walking distance from the Central Square subway stop on the Red Line, one stop to Harvard Square.  Sydney's Grille located on property.  Lots of food and shopping are available in the neighborhood.  Grocery store is located in the same complex.  Rates are $169.00 per night for up to two persons per room and $10.00 per person per night for up to two more per room.  Complimentary wired and wireless Internet is available in all guestrooms and public areas.  For reservations please contact Francisco Martinez at 617-551-0311 or call toll free 888-627-7025 by January 15, 2018. The Residence Inn, Marriott, Cambridge Center, Cambridge

60 Rooms.  $209 per night.  Next door to the Cambridge Center Marriott and the T, for a quick ride straight to Harvard.  Parking is available for  $37.00 a day. Reservations can be made by calling Marriott reservations at 800-331-3131, no later than January 25, 2018.

 The Royal Sonesta, 40 Edwin Land Blvd, Cambridge
100 rooms.  Rates are $149.00 per night for up to four people per room.  Spectacular hotel towering above the Charles River, convenient to both Logan Airport and Harvard.  Complimentary WiFi is included in the rate. This is a tremndous value. The Marriott Hotel, 2 Cambridge Center, Cambridge

310 Rooms.  Next door to the Kendall Square T-stop, for a quick ride straight to Harvard. Rates are $169.00 for up to four persons per room.  Champions restaurant is located on property, with several more food options in the area including Legal Sea Foods. Complimentary wireless Internet access in the lobby.  Self Parking available for $25.00 per day; Valet parking available for $33.00 per day.  Reservations can be made by calling the hotel at  617-494-6600 or the national number 800-228-9290.  Reservations must be made by January 25, 2018. Regardless of what the reservations agent tells you on the phone, you cannot make reservations by calling Dallas Perkins or Harvard Debate.  If they instruct you to call Dallas Perkins, ask to speak to the manager.
 

Holiday Inn, Boston-Bunker Hill, 30 Washington St., Somerville

25 Rooms.   Easily accessible from I-93 and only a five to seven minute drive to the Harvard campus.  Complimentary Internet service throughout the hotel.  Great heated indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi.  The rate is $124.00 for up to four people!  Free Parking and the lowest local area hotel tax.  Reservations by calling 1-877-840-7557 or 617-628-1000, no later than 5:00 pm, January 15, 2018.

 The Liberty Hotel, Boston

100 Rooms.  Boston's newest luxury hotel, conveniently located next to the MGH/Charles St. T stop on the red line (3 stops from Harvard Square). The Liberty Hotel is a spectacular renovation of the old Suffolk County Jail. DoubleTree Guest Suites, Boston, 400 Soldiers Field Rd., Boston 01234

20 Suites. Just across the Charles River from Harvard, this hotel is home to the world-famous Sculler’s Jazz Club. An all-suites hotel, each suite has two rooms, two TVs and telephones. The rates are $165.00 for king suites up for four persons. The hotel offers a complimentary business center, indoor heated pool, whirlpool, sauna and fitness center. Westin Copley Place, 10 Huntington Ave, Boston

Wyndham, Boston, Beacon Hill

250 rooms.  Rates are $139 a night for up to two persons and $149.00 per night for three or four persons per room.  Located in the heart of downtown at the foot of Beacon Hill, our hotel is your gateway to the beautiful and historic city of Boston. 30 rooms.  Rates are $149.00 a night for up to 2 people per room, $169 a night for 3, and $189 a night for 4.  Includes complimentary internet. Located across from Hynes Convention Center with easy access to the Orange Line or the #1 Bus direct to Harvard Sq.
