2012 U-Bus-2-Us @ Mountain Home High School
Dates: 2/3/2012 - 2/4/2012

Welcome To The FIFTH U-Bus-2-Us Speech and Debate Tournament at Mountain Home High School

Friday, Feb 3 & Sat. Feb 4

Please note we are at the High School, same as last year.

To attract smaller Teams,  there will be no squad fee again this year.  When you are only bringing 4 or 5 students a $25 Squad Fee is a burden for smaller teams.

Our user friendly tournament will be offering Speech and Congress on Friday and Debate and Congress on Saturday.   The Congress rounds on Friday and Saturday are completely separate and awards will be given to the top speaker and top Presiding Officer each day. Yes, students may enter Congress on both days.

We will use Mountain Home HIGH SCHOOL for Speech and Congress and all awards for Friday will be given away before we leave Friday night.   ALL State Speech events will be offered and students may double enter EXCEPT if they are in a Draw Event (Radio, Retold and Extemp) or Panel.   We will offer three preliminary Speech rounds and a Final round.   Of course, Congress will be run a separate event and students may not enter a Speech Event if they are in Friday Congress.

Saturday, debate will take place at Mountain Home HIGH SCHOOL

I have 2 ½ hours between round 3 of debate and hidden quarters (Lunch time!) so we should have plenty of time to be organized.  Of course if we run ahead of schedule all the better!!!!

In keeping with our student friendly theme, we have awards for the top six in all speech events, quarterfinalists or better in debate and top P.O. and Speaker in each Congress Session (Fri & Sat in each chamber).  We have trophies for the top 3 sweepstakes a unique trophy that will be presented to some school other than MH.
