Dear Forensic Community:
You are cordially invited to attend the Milton High School Eagle Classic on January 15 and 16, 2010. We are GHSA sanctioned and will be offering seven individual events, Lincoln Douglas, Public Forum, and three divisions of Policy Debate. LD, PUBLIC FORUM, AND ALL IE EVENTS WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY ONLY. Also, in order to allow for octofinals in policy, we will be having three rounds of debate on Friday night.
- Policy divisions will use 8-3-5 format with 8 minutes of prep. Novice debaters should be in their first year of competition. Please note that novice debaters must adhere to the rules for novice debate in Georgia, which limit novice arguments to one of three cases.

- Lincoln Douglas debaters will use the 2010 January/February L/D Debate Topic
- POLICY debate judges will be 125.00. Because of other tournaments, judging will be tight. We’d rather have your judges than your money!
Individual event competition will be held on SATURDAY ONLY and include dramatic, duo, prose-poetry and humorous interpretation as well as original oratory, extemporaneous speaking and impromptu. IEers may triple enter IF they are NOT entered in extemporaneous speaking. IE students may NOT DOUBLE ENTER IN PUBLIC FORUM OR LD.
The deadline for registration is Wednesday, January 13th at 5:00pm on www.joyoftournaments.com. Drops after this date will be charged full fees. All Changes should be completed on joyoftournaments.com by Thursday at 5:00pm. Emergency changes made the day of the tournament should be made BEFORE 3:00 and CALLED in to the emergency number (614-554-9119) after 3:00 pm to keep our schedule running smoothly.
The tournament hotel will once again be the Fairfield Inn. Their number is 770-663-4000. They were offering very competitive rates on the internet – try using your AAA card. (www.fairfieldinn.com). We also recommend AmeriSuites (Windward Parkway) 770 – 343- 9566 (www.amerisuites.com.).
