Welcome to the Trojan Wars at Lee County.
Policy Debate: There will be four guaranteed rounds in Novice Policy Debate (using GFCA Novice evidence project), JV Policy Debate, and Varsity Debate using the resolution on space. Both Novice debaters should be in their first policy topic year. JV may be more advanced Novice debaters moving away from the Novice evidence files, or at least one of the debaters in second topic year or more paired to a first year debater, or both debaters in their second policy year. Varsity debaters are typically in their 3rd or 4th policy year or have had success in prior competitions in either Novice or JV Divisions. All rounds will be power matched from the second round. Policy debaters may not double enter but can enter the student congress on Saturday afternoon.
Lincoln Douglas: There will be four guaranteed rounds of LD using the Nov-Dec resolution. All rounds will be power matched from the second round and flighted A and B. LD Competitors may not double enter but can enter the student congress of Saturday afternoon.
Public Forum: There will be four guaranteed rounds of PF using the December resolution. All rounds will be power matched from the second round and flighted A and B. Public Forum debaters may not double enter but can enter the student congress of Saturday afternoon.
Congressional Debate: There will be a session of Student Congress on Saturday aftenoon for those persons who do not break to outrounds. Please indicate any competitors wanting to be Presiding Officers.
Individual Events: There will be four guaranteed rounds of HI, DI, DUO, P/P, Impromptu, Extemporaneous Speaking, Original Oratory. Double entry is allowed for all events. Double entries in Extemporanious Speaking should be mindful of their draw time.
