Welcome to the Peach State Classic

Dear Coach:

The Carrollton High School Speech and Debate Team invites you to the Silver Anniversary of the Peach State Debate Classic Forensic Tournament to be held at Carrollton High School and Carrollton Junior High School. Please join us for competition, fun, and hospitality on November 18 & 19, 2011.

Registration on Friday at Carrollton High School for policy. Registration for IE's, LD, and public forum Saturday at Carrollton Junior High School-7:30 AM . Only the coach should be involved with registration registration. All schools participating policy must be registered before 4:30, Friday. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE TO REGISTER! If you have a problem, contact Richard. All teams not registered at 4:30 will not be paired in the first round.

All Indvidual Events, Lincoln Douglas and Public Forum will be held at Carrollton Junior High School. Congressional Debate will be held Friday night at Carrollton High School. The Novice and Junior Varsity divisions will be for FIRST and SECOND YEAR debaters, respectively. We will follow the GFCA rules for novice. There will be break rounds for both divisions.

Your assistance running the tournament on time is requested.

Each school should supply one judge for every four persons debating. One judge should be provided per five IEs. Participation is limited to four teams per debate

Lincoln Douglas, Policy Debate, Public Forum, and Extemporaneous Speaking may not double enter. However, other IE's may double enter.

The policy tournament and Student Congress will be at Carrollton High School and the IEs, Lincoln-Douglas, and Public Forum at Carrollton Junior High School. There will be a reception area with concessions and a fully staffed coaches' lounge at both locations. Our goal is to make the tournament one of the best possible experiences for all who attend.
