***Novice divisions are for students who have less than 25 NFL points/or equivalent experience before the start of the 2008-09 season. ***
Limits:
6 entries per event; all others will be wait-listed! Any event that does not reach a 12-person (or 12-team) field by the registration date will be eliminated or combined.
Double Entries:
Doubling is permitted in any two speech events with the exception of DX and IX. There is no doubling allowed if entered in a debate event.
Judge Requirements:
a. 1 judge per 2 TD/LD/PF
b. 1 judge per 5 IE
c. No Hired judges available
Congress Bills:
All legislation (bill and resolution titles) are due by October 16, 2008. No titles will be accepted after that date. You should send them to my email: 289429@dadeschools.net. They will be posted as they are received on the invitation website www.joyoftournaments.com. Please limit each division to three titles. If the list is short we will allow extra titles added. Label your legislation as novice or varsity. The docket will be set at the tournament.
Lunch:
Ziti pasta, cookie, and soda: $5.00.
Fees:
$7.00 per person per event. $14.00 per team event. Entries close on Wednesday, October 22nd at 4pm. Wait-Listed competitors and under-registered events will be announced that same day. As of 4:00 p.m. on October 22nd drops fees will be $10.00 (in addition to the entry fee). On the day of the tournament, drops will be $25.00 (in addition ot the entry fee)!
Times:
Registration will be in the auditorium and will begin at 7:00am and will end promptly at 8:00am. All judges should report to the Media Center/Library on the second floor. Extemp will draw in the auditorium. Postings will be on the glass in front of the lunch room as soon as events become available. THERE WILL BE NO FORMAL OPENING ASSEMBLY.

From the South; Interstate 95 to Miami Gardents Exit; go straight to 163rd; go left; go to 12th Street to the school.
