Debate Tournament
Dear Coaches, Windsor High School cordially invites you to attend our fourth annual Windsor Invitational Debate Tournament on Saturday, February 25, 2012.
A celebration of high school debate in a convenient one-day format that respects your time & budget, this year's tournament offers four preliminary rounds of competition in two divisions (Open/Novice) of Parliamentary Debate and a single Open division of Public Forum debate.
In Parli, this is the last chance warm-up before qualifiers in March, and in Public Forum we will use the March 2012 topic to help teams prepare their cases for state/nat'l quals.
To make for an exciting day, the top two teams from all three divisions will also have the opportunity to compete in a championship round showcasing some of the Bay Area’s top high school debate talent. The championship round in Open division parliamentary debate will be open to the public & held in Windsor’s elegant Performing Arts Center.
In addition to special recognition for the top two teams in each division, awards will be presented to all teams with a winning 3-1 or 4-0 record in preliminary competition. Speaker awards will also be presented to the top three speakers in each division.
