Entry Procedure

Registration should be completed via Joy of Tournaments.

The registration deadline is 5:00pm on Wednesday, February 17th .

Fees

$20.00 per debate team, $10.00 per LD'er

Make fees payable to Coast Forensic League.  If you cannot bring fees to the tournament, send your check c/o Doug Dennis at St. Francis High School.
Entries added or dropped after the registration deadline will be assessed a late fee of $20 per entry.

Judges

Please provide one policy judge for every two policy teams entered, or fraction thereof, and one LD judge for every three LD debaters entered, or fraction thereof.   All judge quotas apply to all four rounds. This means that if you have three teams in Policy, you must bring two Policy judges for all four rounds to cover your obligation.    If you have one LD'er and one Policy team, you must bring 2 judges, each round, all 4 rounds.

Coach Duties / Legal Chaperone

Each school is REQUIRED to have a coach or experienced adult to help with tab room duties.  This is on top of your judging quotas.  So, for example, if you have one LD debater, you must have one judge all day to cover that LD debater, and a coach there all day (through the start of awards).  This "coach" must be a legal chaperone that has been authorized by the school - if needed, we may ask you to produce a letter from the principal or school, signifying that the chaperone is authorized to represent the school, has been trained in all school procedures for emergencies, and the school understands that its team is entered under its school name and bears liability.

This coach/chaperone can expect to work on the tournament staff for the entire day -- either in the tab room or the judges room.

Awards

Awards will be given to all undefeated debaters in all divisions.
