The Vendlinski Invitational at Bishop O'Dowd O'Dowd Debate extends a warm invitation to your team to attend the Vendlinski Invitational at Bishop O'Dowd High School on Sunday, December 4, 2011. The tournament plans on commencing at 9 a.m. and with the championship round concluding before 6 p.m. But you know how these things go. Registration closes at 8:30 a.m. The invitational will be all about parli with open and novice divisions. There will be four preliminary rounds of debate breaking to finals in both divisions. This tournament is winner takes all. There will be one awesome trophy for the winning team. Second place will receive a handshake. Entry Procedure Register at joyoftournaments.com. Entries must be completed by Thursday, December 1 at noon. Food Students will be able to purchase drinks and snacks throughout the day. For lunch, students will have the option of purchasing food from an on-site taco truck or the O'Dowd barbecue club. Students will not be allowed to leave campus during lunch. Judges Rounds will be double-flighted. Please provide one judge for every four parliamentary debate teams entered. Coaches Please have a team coach or official chaperone on site for any possible emergency. Fees The cost is $25 per parli team. There will be a $20 school entry fee.
