2015 Lion’s Pride Classic
February 23-24, 2018
We would like to cordially invite you to the Searcy High School Lion’s Pride Forensic and Debate Tournament. Please do not arrive on campus before registration at 4pm! The first event will begin at 4:30. We are using Joy of Tournaments for registration this year. Have entries in by Fri., Feb. 16, 2018 at 11:59 pm.

We will only be hosting High School events (no Jr. High Events). Sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause. Slate students in no more than three events per pattern. We will follow the ACTAA State Tournament rules for competition. These can be found on the ACTAA website.
Debate Fri-Sat: IPDA (We've cut PF, LD, and BQ due to room availability, sorry).
Group Events Friday: Words and Music, Reader’s Theatre
Sat. ONLY IE’s will have one prelim round & will then advance to the appropriate elimination round
Pattern A: Oratory, DUO, DI, HI, POI,

Pattern B: Poetry, Prose, Storytelling, Duet Improv,Informative Speaking
There will be no refund for any team or entry dropped after the deadline (11:59 PM Thurs. Feb. 22). You must bring a qualified judge for every 2 debate teams entered and a qualified judge for every 10 individual event entries. Other qualified judges are always appreciated (and fed)! Please have judges sign the judge’s agreement found on the ACTAA website (Tournament page). Judges will be instructed to remain in rounds for the duration of the allotted time. Contestants should notify the judge of a double/triple entry.
Concessions will be provided in the cafeteria. We would appreciate your business! Costs will be kept to a minimum. Please tell your students NOT to take food out of the cafeteria area. A coaches/bus driver’s lounge will be provided as well.
This year, we are happy to host the NSDA district alongside our tournament. Rest assured that we plan on having plenty of concessions for everyone. =-)
